24-day rebate marathon from Acronis

The holiday shopping season is officially open and, this year, it seems that the entire sales apparatus races to round up the biggest revenue. And the fastest way to achieving the largest customer base and thus propelling sales is through product discounts.

Software-developing companies and retailers make no exception to the rule and generally jump in with both feet when it comes to please their customers, so rebates are in order. Acronis released yesterday the holiday calendar, filled with a special offer a day, all through December 23. If you don’t follow its website daily, or if you keep waiting for a better deal, you may miss on major discounts. But fear not, because on the 24th day of December, all gates will be unlocked, revealing all 23 bargains and allowing you to pick whichever suits your needs and wallet best.

To spur sales all through the discount marathon, and avoid the customer wait for all the deals to be available, Acronis came up with a reward system: every fourth day starting December 4 and ending with December 24, every fifth customer of the Acronis Holiday Calendar offers is eligible to win an Amazon gift card, valued $10, $20 or $50.

Acronis offers advanced, scalable storage management and disaster-recovery software solutions for both companies and home users. In the following days, Softpedia will alert you of the daily offers in the Acronis Holiday Calendar.

December 2 Offer Acronis jumps with an offer for buying its True Image application for the regular price of $49.99, but the company throws in a free, one-year-long, 25GB subscription to be used with the newly introduced Online Backup feature. All this storage space is normally priced at $4.95/month, or a discounted $49.95/year.

If you don’t need the online storage for your backups, this deal is not really a bargain, as the price of Acronis True Image is the same. However, for those needing a safe place to drop important backup files, the one-year, free storage capacity of 25GB is not to be taken lightly.

December 3 Offer Today Acronis bundles the 1 year free 25GB online storage with its True Image Home 2010 Netbook Edition software. The application is normally priced at $29.99, so if you add the storage price, the regular price tag would read $80. But the holiday deal downs it to half. If you you’re thinking to consider this offer, take into account that VAT is not included in these prices, so the checkout will round up to the amount of $47.59.

December 4 Offer If you have taken any of the deals in the previous three days, today you have the chance to win one of the three Amazon Gift Cards, valued $10, $20 or $50. The winners of the automatic sweepstake will receive an email with gift card details to the address used to make the purchase. So there is nothing else to do but wait for an email from Acronis.

December 6 Offer Well, they say they’re giving Acronis True Image Home 2010 Netbook Edition 50% off, but the price at checkout and the product in the cart will contradict this. What you are in fact getting is the regular Acronis True Image Home 2010, listed at $49.99 (the netbook edition is $29.99), at half the price, $24.99.

Mind that these are the VAT-free prices and the real payment will be for $29.74, which is 50% of $59.49, the VAT-included value of Acronis True Image Home 2010. Although the real deal is slightly more expensive, paying half the price for such an application is worth taking into consideration.

December 7 Offer Acronis True Image Home 2010 Netbook Edition is on sale today, at 50% its original price. So instead of the normal $29.99 price (VAT not included), you’ll get the application for $14.99 (not including VAT). The money you will actually pay for a discount copy of the software (VAT included) is $17.84.

This version of Acronis has been specifically optimized for netbooks, offering users reliable backup and restore operations, the same intuitive graphical interface (adapted to smaller displays), online backup feature, based on the patented Acronis backup, and recovery technologies.

December 8 Offer

Time for a new Amazon gift card giveaway. Every four days, for as long as the Acronis holiday calendar lasts, three lucky buyers will have the chance to win $10, $20 or $50 worth of Amazon gift cards in the automatic sweepstake set up by the company.

December 9 Offer If you are in one of the regions where Acronis Online Backup is available, you can get this optional service 50% off, at $24.99 (19% VAT not included). The original price of $49.99 has been cut in half for the one-year subscription.

The deal can be especially profitable for those who need the 25GB online storage and already own a copy of Acronis True Image Home 2010 or the Netbook Edition of the application. On the downside, this offer is not available in regions where Acronis has not set up datacenters in order to offer a seamless service, but you will be notified of the availability of the service in your area upon purchase.

December 10 Offer Acronis makes its Disk Director Suite available today at a bargain price of $24.99, half of what it is originally listed at. This time around, the company sells the product at the displayed price of $49.99 (VAT included), to which the 50% discount is applied.

Acronis Disk Director Suite is a complete disk partitioning solution capable of re-partitioning without losing data on the drives. It can split, merge or re-size the partitions on the disk through the intuitive Acronis interface. Moreover, the bootable media builder included in the application allows you to create a bootable disc, which can be used to access data on the hard disk in case of operating system failure.

December 11 Offer The company’s promotion of the day includes a heftier package, consisting of Acronis True Image Home 2010, regular issue, the Netbook Edition and one year of Online Backup, all at 50% off. So, instead of the regular amount of $129.97, they’re offering the bunch at $64.99.

Due to Online Backup inclusion in the deal, the discount is available only for regions where Acronis has set up its datacenters for a seamless service.

December 14 Offer Acronis True Image Home 2010 is free today, but only for those users who purchase the bundle of the application with the 20GB one-year subscription of Online Backup. The regular price is $99.98, but with the current deal, you benefit from a 100% discount on Acronis’ backup and restore product, thus paying just for the online storage.

The result is that you get two products for the price of one. Again, the offer applies to the regions where Acronis has its datacenters set up in order to provide its customers the best service possible.

December 15 Offer Online Backup and Acronis True Image Home 2010 Netbook Edition bundle at half the price. That’s 50% of the list price, getting you the package for $39.99. This offer is available only for regions where the company has set up its datacenters.

December 16 Offer It’s been four days since the last Amazon gift card giveaway from Acronis, but the time has come for a fresh batch of winners to take advantage of the $10, $20 or $50 worth of Amazon gift cards. Every four days, for the entire period of the Acronis discount calendar, three lucky buyers will have the chance to win these cards in the automatic sweepstake set up by the company. The only rule to enter the sweepstake is to have taken one of the previous deals.

December 17 Offer Plus Pack for Acronis True Image Home 2010 is offered with a 50% discount, at $14.99 (VAT not included). Plus Pack is an add-on for the application that brings enhancements for advanced home users. The three features sported in the module are restoration to dissimilar hardware (migration to a different system, regardless of the make, model or components installed), dynamic disk support and WinPE (Windows Preinstallation Environment) support.

December 18 Offer True Image Home 2010, Windows 7 compatible, is 50% off today. The powerful and award-winning backup and restore solution, regularly priced at $49.99 (VAT not included) can be purchased today for $24.95 (VAT not included).

The application offers easy and fast backup and recovery of data, a friendly user interface, possibility to mount backups and browse them, conversion to and from Windows backup file, disk cloning and much more. Almost all of these options are present on the bootable disc rescue media that can be created by the program for offline backup and restore operations.
