A
blog post coming from an
Xbox 360 fan site says something rather interesting that would catch the eye of every Xbox 360 owner in the world. It says that
Microsoft has launched a program through which players will be awarded points for good
ranking thus receiving certain benefits like cheaper games and other good stuff.
The actual
document in which the information was found is said to be a "partially torn" one that DeaconBlade 360, Xbox Ambassador, thought to bring to the fans' attention. Naturally, all Xbox 360 owners would like to get the chance to prove themselves and also gain something from it.
Why would this be a hoax? Microsoft neither confirmed this rumor nor have they denied it thus sadistically keeping fans hoping it might be true. Why wouldn't it be a hoax? Even the smallest of so called "torn documents" is speculated by computer freaks that see the chance to gain some credit and acclaim for their contribution to the welfare of gaming communities. That's what their whole lives are all about.
It makes perfect sense it if it were in fact true as Microsoft could easily gain huge profits out of it. Just think about it for a little while. Microsoft releases this "
game-achievement-awards" program and tapping the gamer demographic suddenly becomes an easy task with everyone constantly recording their rankings thus making it possible for Microsoft to know exactly what games to sell and where. It's a winner this one, and it goes both ways, being applied to gamers and developers as well.
As always, we're just going to have to wait for a confirmation on this one. If it was in fact someone's idea of a joke, it might just be one of the few that actually take shape as to meet everyone's expectations and satisfaction.
