Remember Acer introduced a Chromebook not so long ago? It was called the C720-800 and could be purchased for $250 / €185.

After no more than a month since the device was unleashed into the wild, Acer brings forth another Chromebook model, this time one with a more affordable price tag.

Meet the C720-2848 which comes boasting an 11-inch ComfyView HD display with a reasonable resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

This might be one of the cheapest Chromebooks on the market to pack an Intel Haswell processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, meaning that users will enjoy both performance and long battery life if they decide to purchase the device. As a matter of fact Acer promises up to 8.5 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Apart from that, you can also find Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HDMI, dual speakers setup, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports onboard. There is 16GB available storage and a frontal webcam (1280 x 720.)

Acer has built this Chromebook for maximum portability, making it 2.76 pounds / 1.2 kg and 0.75 inches / 1.9 cm so carrying it around at school (remember Chromebooks were the golden child of the “Back to School” period) or while you’re traveling is going to be easy.

And that’s not all Acer is offering. The company couples the Chromebook with some other extra goodies like 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years, Google Play Music All Access and 12 free Gogo Inflight passes.

If you are excited to get this cheap yet powerful model, you should know that the C720-2848 is available for order today, for $200 / €149 a pop from retailers like Best Buy or Amazon.

Customers will be able to grab the laptop off the Acer Store too, but you should know it’s going to make an appearance there in December. The Chromebook is probably going to become available through the Google Play store as well, but nothing official is known yet.
