World’s second biggest notebook manufacturer, Taiwanese company Acer is preparing to officially launch its Iconia Tab A700 Android tablet in the Land of the Rising Sun. The tablet features a high-quality 10.1” display sporting a 1920 by 1200 pixel resolution.

The 1920 x 1200 resolution of Acer’s Iconia Tab A700 is officially classified as WUXGA and the tablet also comes with Dolby Digital Plus sound certification.

The new toy is reportedly powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core CPU that features four ARM CortexA9 processing cores working at a maximum frequency of 1300 Mhz.

Android 4.0 is the chosen operating system and has 1 GB of RAM memory at its disposal.

The official pricing for the Japanese market stands at a high 47,800 yen or around $600. That would be about €490 for the European buyer, but we’re sure prices in EU will be a tad lower.
