The smartphone runs under Google’s Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean platform

A new smartphone from Acer is getting ready to make an official appearance on shelves in China, namely the Acer V370, which has already received the necessary approvals in the country.

The handset was spotted at the Chinese certification forum with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside, and is expected to be officially announced in the coming months.

The smartphone sports a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a qHD resolution, and runs under Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, it seems.

Its specs list also includes 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, 2MP front camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB port. It measures 131mm x 68mm x 9.9mm, weighs 139 grams, and will arrive on shelves in Black and White versions.

No specific info on when the device might be officially announced has been provided as of now, a post on juggly reads.
