Recently entered onto the smartphone market, electronics manufacturer Acer has just unveiled its latest Android-based smartphone, the beTouch E210. The device is an Android smartphone with full QWERTY keyboard and a rather small touchscreen display.

The beTouch lineup of smartphones is one of the most prolific smartphone series delivered by Acer. The manufacturer started to be more active on the smartphone market after acquiring E-ten handheld maker, in March 2008.

The beTouch E210 is an entry level smartphone which is expected to hit the shelves in March 2011 in UK.

The latest addition to the beTouch series, the E210 strongly resembles E130, which was released back in August 2010.

The device is powered by an ST Ericsson PNX6715 processor at 416MHz and runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) platform out-of-the-box.

The phone measures 115 x 62.5 x 11.5mm and it weighs 109g (battery included), which makes it pretty compact and easy to carry in any pocket.

Acer beTouch E210 sports a 3.2-megapixel camera, 512MB ROM, 256MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion. It comes with a small 2.6-inch TFT touchscreen with 65k colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

Other key features of the device include: WiFi connectivity, full physical QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, built-in GPS receiver, micro-USB port, optical trackpad, 3.5mm audio jack, FM tuner, G-sensor, as well as digital compass.

The beTouch E210 is powered by a standard Li-Ion 1300mAh battery and it operates on HSDPA / HSUPA networks at 900/2100MHz or 850/1900MHz.

This is the tenth device of the beTouch series of phones introduced by Acer in October 2009 along with beTouch E100, beTouch E101 and beTouch E100.

There's no information regarding the phone's price yet, but the smartphone will be available in two color schemes: silver and black.
