Global PC shipments have experienced a drastic downfall lately with brand manufacturing losing ground more and more as days pass. But some just can’t seem to accept the reality.

This is the case of Acer, as it appears that the company is gearing up to unleash a 10-inch touchscreen netbook packed with an Intel Celeron/Bay Trail chip. Oddly enough, Acer will sell it under its Packard Bell brand. The name doesn’t impress much in the US, but the company is still using it overseas.

Thus, the device has been dubbed Packard Bell ENME69BMP and it features a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Power is provided by the Intel Celeron N2805 processor based on the Silvermont/Bay Trail architecture, coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Acer also offers Intel HD 4000 graphics, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and VGA ports, SD card, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Internal storage has been set to 500GB.

The laptop has already been spotted in online retail locations like Ottoversand.at with a price tag of €399 / $546. Amazon.com also offers a Gateway-branded version of the same mini laptop called Gateway LT41P04u, which is available for shipment in the US for $330 / €241.
