One of Acer’s most appreciated product releases this year is the company’s CULV-based Timeline series of ultraportable computer systems, designed to boost performance and provide consumers with an alternative to the popular netbook systems. Released early this month, the new series is built to take advantage of Intel’s CULV platform, which basically enables the system builder to provide users with an ultraportable PC that offers better performance than netbooks. On that note, it now appears that Acer has rushed things a bit and is now making the new series available to consumers, at least in Europe.

According to Fudzilla, there are apparently at least three different models in the Timeline series, each one providing a different choice for the size of the display. These choices include the lower 13.3-inch, the 14.1-inch and the 15.4-inch model and have been known as the Aspire 3810T, 4810T and 5810T, respectively. The lowest-priced model comes in a 13.3-inch form factor and is listed at $599.

For that, users will be able to enjoy Acer’s Timeline design and the performance delivered by an Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500, clocked at 1.4GHz, up to 4GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, Intel’s integrated X4500HD graphics, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, HDMI, 5-in-1 card reader, a 6-cell battery pack and Microsoft’s Windows Vista Home. The specifications on the other two systems are similar, except for the screen size and the overall weight.

The highest-priced model, which comes with the 15.4-inch display and weighs in at just 2.4kg, is listed at a starting price of €666, while the 14-inch version goes for €649. These systems are currently available on a few online stores in Europe, but they are bound to become available in some other parts of the world. By that time, we should have already read the very first reviews of Acer’s new series.
