14 DAY TRIAL // As we pretty much expected, the world's most important notebook manufacturers have all brought at least a couple of novelties at CeBIT 2011, and that's also the case with Acer, who's just released a couple of refreshed Aspire TimelineX laptops.
According to NotebookItalia, the new models unveiled on this occasion are the 3830T and 4830T, whose external design borrows a little something from Acer's own Ethos multimedia notebooks, for a more eye-pleasing effect.
So, for example, they sport chiclet keyboards, as well as an interesting color combo, that's sure to suit most people's tastes in notebooks.
While technical details regarding the 13.3-inch 3830T are not yet available, things are a whole lot better in the case of the 4830T, that's apparently powered by the Intel Core i5-2410M Sandy Bridge processor running at 2.3 GHz, accompanied by 4GB of DDR3 memory and relying on the built-in Intel GMA 3000 graphics engine in order to push pixels to its 14-inch display.
Additional interesting features worth mentioning include the Bluetooth 3.0+HS module, the Dolby Home Theater v3 speakers, as well as the presence of an USB 3.0 port, which seems to be a common trait to most of the new notebooks released in 2011.
Of course, the portable system also sports plenty of extra connectivity options (card reader, HDMI, USB 2.0 ports, etc.), but these have become a “standard issue” in just about any modern notebook.
Plus, despite featuring a 6-cell, 6000mAh battery that provides a 9 hours maximum charge, the 4830 is fairly easy to carry around, given the fact that it measures 342 × 245 × 24 - 25.4 mm and weighs around 2.2 kilos.
Apparently, we won't have to wait that much for the new Acer Aspire 3830T and 4830T TimelineX notebooks to arrive on the market either, since they're set to arrive in stores at some point in April 2011.
