Though it is known to focus, to some extent, on the mobile PC market, Acer has now unveiled a pair of new All-in-one systems, the Veriton Z410G and Veriton Z290G, which rely on Intel central processors and will start selling this month.

As end-users well know, all-in-one systems are desktop PCs that have all hardware crammed into the display, in a manner of speaking.

This lets them take up far less space than a regular desktop would, even though it does push their price points quite a bit higher.

The new such systems that Acer prepared, the Veriton Z410G and Veriton Z290G, have screen sizes of 21.5-inches and 18.5 inches, respectively.

The configuration of the Z290G is centered around the Intel Atom D525 dual-core central processing unit with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz.

This CPU is backed up by by 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM and paired with the GMA (graphics media accelerator) X4500 integrated graphics.

There is also a hard disk drive with an internal capacity of 320 GB, as well as a DVD writer and the full range of connectivity and I/O options.

The list includes Gigabit Ethernet, USB ports, 802.11 b/g WiFi and video outputs, D-Sub and DVI that is.

The Z410G has the same overall specifications, except that it uses the Intel Pentium E5700 CPU whose clock is of 3.0 GHz.

"The space-savings and clean aesthetics of an integrated all-in-one solution resonate with a wide range of public and private sector customers," said Leila Axelle Robert, Acer Commercial Systems Business Manager.

"We're excited to offer a more robust version boasting a 21.5-inch HD display, an excellent fit for SMB, healthcare and government users requiring full desktop power and a bigger screen.”

The X410G sells for $719, whereas the Z290G has a starting price tag of $599. Both will start selling in North America soon.
