All-in-one computers have gained much in popularity over the last few years, so Acer has now unveiled a series of new AIOs that are destined to steer some of the users looking for such products towards their PCs.

Acer's consumer models are known as the AZ3 and AZ5, both of these coming with an adjustable stand, two side-mounted USB 3.0 ports, a multi-in-one digital media card reader, 802.11b/g/n wireless as well as with a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Inside of these AIOs things are however a bit different since the more powerful AZ5 is built around an Intel Core i3-2120 processor, seconded by 4GB of system memory and a 1TB hard drive, all packed together with a 23-inch Full HD display with multi-touch capabilities.

The retail price of the AZ5 is set at $750 (542 Euros), so Acer has also designed the AZ3, which is a cut-back version of the former with an $100 (72 Euros) smaller MSRP.

To achieve this price cut, Acer has decreased the diagonal of the screen from 23 to just 21 inches, switched to a dual-core AMD A4-series APU paired together with a discreet Radeon HD 6410 graphics card and also installed a smaller 500GB hard drive.

As all of Acer's touchsceen-enabled devices to hit the market recently, these two AIOs also feature the clear.fi software as well as some other applications such as the Acer TouchPortal or the Acer Browser Magnifier.

"A sophisticated appearance and practical design make our all-in-one form factor very popular with consumers," said Irene Chan, senior business manager of consumer desktops for Acer America.

"Our newest all-in-one models feature an intuitive touch screen display for playing digital music, scrolling through images, browsing online recipes and viewing social networking sites.

“In addition, Full HD performance heightens the visual excitement of movies and games," concluded the company's rep.

Both of these all-in-one computers should be available as we speak from leading retailers.
