Last month Acer teased a dual-SIM smartphone dubbed Liquid Gallant DUO. Although the device was up for pre-order in the UK last month, the Liquid Gallant DUO disappeared and we’re not sure when exactly it will be released on the market.

This week Acer introduced two new smartphones in the UK, the CloudMobile and Liquid Glow, which can be purchased via authorized retailers.

However, it looks like Acer plans to launch another Android phone, which is a cheaper version of the Acer Liquid Gallant DUO.

The new Acer Liquid Gallant Solo (E350) is a single-SIM smartphone that has just made its appearance on Acer’s official site.

The device has yet to be picked by a UK-based retailer, though we’re sure the phone won’t be priced higher than 150 GBP (235 USD or 190 EUR) outright.

The good news is that Acer Liquid Gallant Solo will be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box. It also packs a MediaTek MT6575 chipset with a single-core processor clocked at 1 GHz.

In addition, the smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Although this is a mid-range handset, Acer Liquid Gallant Solo (E350) boasts a stunning 4.3-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

There’s also a 5-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There is no mention of a secondary front-facing camera for video calls, so we must assume it lacks one.

When it comes to connectivity, Liquid Gallant Solo offers quadband GSM and 3G support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone also features a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
