Acer's first mobile phone launched on the market with Google's Android operating system on board is the Acer Liquid A1, a device that has already reached the market in some Asian countries, including Taiwan and Hong Kong, as well as the UK. However, it seems that the phone is also expected to arrive stateside, as it has just been seen wandering through FCC's courtyard.

Moreover, the Acer Liquid A1 received FCC approval while boasting support for AT&T's network it seems, which shows that the carrier might be getting ready to deliver some Android goodies to its subscribers. Especially since another new Android phone received FCC blessing with the same frequencies on board, namely the Dell Mini 3i.

Dell was rumored to plan the release of its Android handset in the US, and enthusiasts will certainly rejoice learning that Acer intends to make the same move. However, there are no guarantees that the phones will actually arrive on the US market, nor that AT&T will carry them, though fans will certainly hope for that to happen.

In related news, we learn that there is a fresh Acer Liquid A1 video demo available at large. We've already seen an unboxing clip when the device reached the UK market, and now the guys over at TecholoShree got another video for your viewing pleasure. Take a look at it at the bottom of this article to see some bits of Liquid, for it seems quite appealing, that's for sure.

In the meantime, we should also mention that word on the street is that Acer might deliver an Android 2.0 update for the device in early 2010. The phone currently runs under Android 1.6, yet it is expected to begin shipping with Android 2.0 right from the start at a certain point in 2010. Considering the powerful processor it packs inside, that should make it even more appealing.
