Acer has started the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich rollout several days ago. Although the update wasn’t supposed to be released until April 27, the company surprisingly kicked off the deployment of the upgrade for Iconia Tab A500 one day earlier.

The guys over at AndroidOS claim that the update has now reached Indian shores and is available for download OTA (over the air).

Android 4.0 ICS for Acer Iconia Tab A500 is about 395MB in size and brings quite a range of new features and improvements.

So far, the update is only available OTA, so Iconia Tab A500 owners can only download and install it the moment they get a notification on their tablets.

Simply follow the on-screen instructions in order to successfully install the latest Android 4.0 ICS platform on the Iconia Tab A500.
