October 6 has finally arrived, and the first mobile phones reaching the shelves with Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system already started to pop up. Among them, we can see one of the most powerful handsets on the market, namely the Acer F1, which has recently had its name changed to Acer neoTouch.

The mobile phone, as many of you might already know, comes to the market with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset inside, something that offers it 850MHz of processor power to play around with the operating system and with the applications running on it. In addition, a wide range of connectivity, multimedia and productivity capabilities are also present with the device, working all together to prove that the Acer neoTouch F1 is a great option for any user.

The specification list of the handset shows a 3.8-inch resistive touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800 pixel WVGA resolution, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, LED Flash and video recording capabilities, 256MB of internal memory, microSDHC memory card slot for additional storage space, 3.5mm Audio Connector, microUSB, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11g) connectivity, and AGPS capabilities.

The connectivity options of the phone also include quad-band 2G (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and tri-band 3G (850/900/2100MHz), as well as HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps). At the same time, the device sports a multimedia player, support for SMS, MMS, IM and email, Accelerometer, proximity and light sensor, integration with Facebook, and support for Windows Media Player Sync and MyPhone and Windows Marketplace for Mobile services.

Measuring 118.6 x 63 x 12mm and weighing 135g, the Acer neoTouch sports a 1350 mAh battery able to deliver up to five hours of talk time or up to 400 hours of standby time. It comes with PDF Document Viewer and Office Document Viewer, as well as with device and memory card encryption and Remote Wipe. The mobile phone can be seen on Expansys' website featuring a price tag of £349.99, or around $560.
