Coming to even further expand its PC collection, Acer has now issued a press release in which it announces and details two new all-in-one PCs, the Aspire Z3100 and AZ5700, both equipped with support for touch input.

Acer has already unleashed a number of new computers, but it seems it isn't finished yet, deciding to make the best of not just Intel's but also AMD's platforms.

The Intel-powered device out of these two new AiO systems is the AZ5700 and uses the Core i5-650 central processing unit, whose clock speed is of 3.2 GHz.

This chip is backed up by 4 GB of RAM and comes with the Intel HD graphics, which will have full reign over the 23-inch touch panel.

There is also a hard disk drive of 1 TB and, a DVD drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, an integrated webcam, a HDMI output and two built-in speakers.

The Z3100 has partially similar specifications, but its CPU is the AMD Athlon II 170u, with a frequency of 2.0 GHz.

Obviously aimed at a lower-end market than the AZ5700, the system has 3 GB of RAM, a HDD of 'just' 500 GB and the GeForce 9200 graphics.

"The elegance and convenience of the all-in-one desktop is becoming increasingly popular with consumers," said Steve Smith, senior business manager of consumer desktops for Acer America.

"We're pleased to offer our customers more choices for this practical form factor, which is appealing for its unique blend of features and modern architecture,” he added.

“In addition to our premium system with a 23-inch HD display, touch panel and TV tuner, we also offer a smaller, budget-friendly version with a host of features and ample power, ideal for dorm rooms, office nooks and lofts," he went on to saying.

The Acer Aspire Z3100 has a price of $599, whereas the more powerful AZ5700 sells for $1,099, the latter even being bundled with a suite of applications aimed to make the best of the touch interface.

The list of programs includes TimeGadget, WeatherGadget, TouchBrowse, TouchCamTouchMusic, TouchPhoto, TouchVideo, TouchMemo, and TouchFriends.
