The Iconia Tab A200 isn’t the only Acer tablet that will receive an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, as the outfit has just announced that its previous flagship, the A500, will also get an official ICS port.
Two more months need to pass until the update arrives, but this is definitely good news for those of you with an Iconia Tab A500.
“Great news, everyone! We’ve just got confirmation from HQ that the Iconia Tab A500 will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich in April.
“No exact date yet, but we’ll let you know when we have it. What are you looking forward to most in ICS?” reads a post on the Acer New Zealand official
Facebook page.
Nothing is mentioned about Europe or the US, but we don’t think that
Acer will leave anyone out.
