The only real difference between them is the memory capacity

As the title has no doubt made it clear, Acer has released two new Chromebooks, called C710-2826 and C710-2815.

Both of them have 16 GB of SSD storage space, batteries with 6-hour charge life, the Intel Celeron 847 dual-core processor (2MB L3 cache, 1.10GHz, DDR3 1333 MHz memory controller) and 11.6-inch HD Widescreen CineCrystal LED-backlit LCD displays.

They also boast HDMI, three USB ports, VGA and Ethernet, plus SD card slots.

What's more, Acer tossed in HD webcams with 1280 x 720 resolution.

Verily, the only difference between the laptops is the RAM capacity: the C710-2826 gets 2GB of DDR3 RAM, while the Acer C710-2815 boasts 4GB DDR3 RAM.

In that same order, the Acer Chromebooks cost $259 / €197 to €259 (more likely if Acer ignores exchange rates) and $279 / €212 to €279.

Acer intends to score sales in the K-12 education market.
