Although it would be more accurate to say that it has an unusual frame

All-in-one personal computers seem to be coming out all the time nowadays, and they are the second most frequent type of Acer PC to make the market. Case in point, Acer has formally released the Acer Aspire Z3-605 Series.

The Acer Aspire Z3-605, according to the company's press release, is primed for comfort and convenient control via touch and hand gestures.

That's right, this AiO happens to be one of those that have an integrated touchscreen over the LCD panel.

Thus, one needs only to reach out and touch the 23-inch Full HD LCD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and voila! Machine-human interaction at its finest (10-point tracking).

Well, maybe not at its finest. There isn't any motion tracking after all, so we won't get to just wave in the PC's direction to command it.

Still, touch input has yet to become standard on monitors and AiOs, even though it has been moving in that direction, so Acer's Aspire Z3-605 can definitely be said to possess an advantage over most of its competitors.

That said, in addition to a high resolution display and touch support, Acer's creation boasts two 3W front-facing Harman Kardon speakers, Dolby Home Theater v4 audio (optimized digital output technologies), an on-screen display button, USB 3.0, a 2-in-1 combo audio jack, an integrated 1MP HD Webcam, an SD card reader, an HDMI input (lets the AiO act like a monitor/HDTV) and a SuperMulti optical drive, plus USB 2.0 (two ports).

For a computer with an Intel Core i5 CPU, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and an HDD of 1 TB, that feature set really isn't so bad.

Finally, the newcomer has a chassis with 10 to 30 degree tilt adjustment and a unique capsule-shaped port bay on the front, where the on-screen display (OSD) button, SD card reader, USB 3.0 and 2-in-1 combo audio jack are grouped.

Sales should start soon for $699.99 / €699.99 without touch and $799.99 / €799.99 with touch.
