The Aspire Switch 10 is a tablet/laptop hybrid Acer introduced not so long ago at its official event held in New York at the end of April.

Those who have been impressed by the company’s brand new machine will be happy to know they can already order the new convertible from the Microsoft Store for $349 / €255 a pop.

The device arrives with a 10.1-inch display that offers 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Power comes from an Intel Bay Trail processor, which is pretty standard nowadays, that works in concert with 2GB of RAM and is supported by 32GB of internal storage.

Acer claims the device has a battery that can offer up to 10 hours of life juice. However, before getting all excited and hurrying to place an order, take a minute to think about one of our earlier reports about some devices from the initial batch already plagued by issues.

Some users who have been getting their hands on the Aspire Switch 10 early are complaining the hybrid’s touchpad suddenly stops responding properly for no particular good reason. Only when the tablet part is removed does the touchpad resume working without problems for some time.

So if you're mulling over a 2-in-1 machine, you might want to turn your attention to ASUS’ new Transformer Book T100 which comes with a CPU upgrade and is available in either white or red for a comparable price, that of $399 / €292.
