At the GPS technology fair organized by Navtek in Italy, Acer has announced the replacements for its N35 model, the c510 and c530. Both GPS PDAs have SIRF III LP GPS chips, integrated antennae and receivers, and as a plus, the ALK Copilot 6 navigation software, with a 256 MB SD memory card packed with maps of France (radars can be imported), provided by Navtek.

They have dimensions of 5.8 x 10.8 x 1.7 centimeters, a weight of 122 grams, and displays of 2.8 inch TFT LCD Touch Screen, with 320x240 pixels resolutions. The Windows Mobile 5.0 operating systems run on Samsungs S3C2442XL processors, working at 300 Mhz, and on 128MB ROM and 64 MB of RAM memory, which can be expanded with the help of the MMC/SD memory expansion card slots to up to 4 GB.

The connectivity features are represented by Bluetooth, miniUSB port and Wi-Fi, the latter only available in the c350 model. If you can't live without multimedia experience, the MP3 player will help you get over silent moments, playing all the MP3s you can store on the handheld's internal memory or the MMC/SD card.

The handsets will be ready for purchase some time during November, the price being known only for the c510: somewhere around 350 euros.
