Acer, one of the world’s top three vendors of personal computer systems, has just announced the debut of its new all-in-one model, the Aspire Z5610, featuring a 23-inch display and running on the highly anticipated Windows 7 operating system. The new machine has been designed to deliver the necessary performance for mainstream users, providing them with a choice for a multi-touch, all-in-one desktop computer system featuring an elegant design at a starting price tag of US$899.99.

“Our Aspire Z5610 all-in-one is a beautiful blend of visual elegance, state-of-the-art technology and premium performance,” said Susan Hu, desktop product manager for Acer America. “The intuitive touch-screen with Windows 7 multi-touch capability brings new excitement and hands-on efficiency to digital media applications. Packaged in a powerful platform, it will deliver fun and productivity for years to come.”

The new system has been designed with an Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 processor, clocked at 2.6GHz and combined with 4GB of DDR3 memory and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 graphics card with 512MB of memory. It also sports a 320GB hard drive, a SuperMulti optical drive, multi-in-one card reader, six USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, integrated HD 5.1 Audio channel support, Gigabit Ethernet, wireless 802.11 b/g/Draft-N, integrated HD webcam and microphone and built-in speakers.

To complete the package, Acer throws in a wireless keyboard and mouse and also an integrated keyboard light and foot-mounted lighting with toggle switch. The 23-inch LCD screen is capable of outputting images at 1920 x 1080 pixels and offers a 5ms response time.

Expected to become available this holiday season in the U.S., the Aspire Z5610-U9072 comes with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of US$899.99.
