Even though Acer is known as the main advocate of entry-level laptops, it definitely knows what to put inside a PC in order to turn it into a massively powerful gaming system. Granted, the new Predator AG7750 gaming desktop is not just unique and powerful on the inside, since it has a fairly imposing and 'fiery' chassis. The new computer was announced just a short while ago and, though it is not even remotely affordable for the masses, it has all the components enthusiasts and gamers look for.

Essentially aimed at avid gamers with a so-called “take no prisoners” attitude, the desktop merges the might of a 2.8GHz quad-core Intel Core i7-930 central processing unit (8MB cache) with up to a good 9GB DDR3 memory and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 graphics cards in a 3-way SLI multi-GPU setup. Not only that, but Acer even offers up to four internal SATA hard drives of up to 2TB each, which leads to a maximum of 8TB storage. Furthermore, the multimedia and gaming experience is completed by the 7.1 channel audio and the Creative THX TruStudio PC and EAX 5.0 technology.

"Designed to conquer and destroy, the Aspire Predator boasts a rugged, intimidating chassis as well as super power and speed," said Susan Hu, retail desktop product management for Acer Canada. "It's a smoking hot gaming rig delivering eye-popping graphics and dynamic audio for a jaw dropping experience that will fire up even hard core gamers. Plus, plenty of room for future upgrades will assist gamers in their quest to reign supreme in the new world order."

To make sure that the many high-end parts don't meet an untimely death due to overheating, the predator AG7750 is outfitted with a two-part liquid cooling system. As for pricing and availability, it has already started shipping in Canada, for $1,799 CAD.
