A new trailer for “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” has just dropped and, unlike previous footage, this one really does what a trailer should do: acts as a teaser while revealing a bit more of the plot.

Produced by Tim Burton and directed by Timur Bekmambetov, he of the “Wanted” fame, “Abraham” plays out like a strong combination of historical, vampire, and action movie.

Whether all these different parts will manage to form a whole that is worth the admission fee remains to be determined this summer, when it comes out.

“The film explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary,” says the official synopsis.

“The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved,” adds the same source.
