Only days ago, the world remembered that, two years ago, we had lost our King of Pop when Michael Jackson died. Former friend Aaron Carter also remembered Michael, albeit in a different manner: by saying the late star gave him drugs when he was just a teen.

Fresh out of a stint in rehab and getting ready to relaunch his music career, Carter is opening up about his friendship with the late singer – and he doesn’t have nice things to say about him.

Speaking with OK! Magazine, Aaron makes some startling claims about the nature of his relationship with Michael and how the latter gave him drugs and alcohol when he was a minor.

“I never talked about it… This is the first time. I do… I miss Michael… I have spent such incredible times with him,” Aaron tells the mag.

He seems to be about to let fond memories take over him – but he does just the contrary, making claims that Michael couldn’t refute, because he’s no longer with us.

“I did things with him that nobody else did… But I was also troubled about what he did to me,” the pop star says.

“Yes, he gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15,” Carter answers, when asked if he was ever offered alcohol.

Michael also gave him drugs, he claims.

“He gave me cocaine. I felt weird about that and other stuff… We spoke afterwards, hours and hours, on the phone. I admired Michael, but his behavior bothered me a lot. Then my mother called the police,” he adds.

The latest print issue of the magazine will reportedly offer more details on Aaron and Michael’s friendship – and they will probably be more scandalous, word online has it.

So far, no one from Michael’s family has stepped out to comment on Aaron claims. Michael’s fans, though, are already pointing a finger at Carter, saying he should attempt to generate attention by sullying the reputation of a man who can’t defend himself.

*Update [July 1, 2011]: As it turns out, Aaron Carter never said these things mentioned above, OK! Magazine lied. More details here.
