AVG LinkScanner, a software solution designed to provide secure browsing and search, has been promoted to version 12.0 which includes a number of new features, such as enhanced notification placement, automatic launch, and more.

Designed to protect users against exploitive, malicious and phishing websites in real time, AVG LinkScanner is a free security solution from AVG Technologies that scans the source code of any webpage and automatically stops loading if it discovers anything fishy.

In version 12, released this week, alert messages are now centered and the position of notifications is configurable. The update also fixes the behavior of component status icons.

Featuring a simplified installation process, AVG LinkScanner 12 uses an auto-start agent now. Finally, the updated app adds the possibility of ignoring component error states.
