With more than 10 million downloads on Google Play store, the free version of AVG AntiVirus application for Android has just been updated with more features and improvements.

The most obvious change is the new user interface, which is sleeker and easier to use. The new UI offers faster and more efficient access to features, tools and sub-categories.

Furthermore, AVG has also included a new widget, which allows users to access the app’s core features directly from the home screen.

In addition, developers have improved the scanning feature with another level to detect adware that users can remove if unwanted.

There’s also a new dashboard, along with new categories and menus. Some bug fixes have been included in the update as well.

AVG AntiVirus 3.0.2 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.5 and up. Check it out here.
