AVG AntiVirus for Android Update Adds Call and Text Message Blocker

AVG Antivirus for Android devices has been updated with new features that will make users of the security application very happy.

With the latest version of AVG AntiVirus, users will be able to protect themselves much easier against spammers, hackers and scammers.

That will be possible with the new call and text message blocker feature. The new function warns users of suspicious text messages and offers them the option to filter and block unwanted messages and calls.

AVG Mobile Technologies, creators of the security app, have also added a new widget, which allows immediate access to more features directly from the home screen. This 4-button widget can be easily customized into 9 easy-to-use functions.

AVG AntiVirus 3.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.5 and up. Check it out here.
