AVG released the 2013 line of products and it looks like they went the extra mile to offer a completely new experience, from layout to performance and reliability.

The new interface matches perfectly the modern UI in the upcoming Windows 8, as all the menus, which have been turned into tiles, and the buttons are in consonance with the touch environment of Microsoft’s future OS.

Impact on system resources has also been on the list of enhancements for AVG’s new generation of products. And for this to happen, tweaks have to be made to the scanning engine.

Achieving better protection against the latest threats is a constant goal for any security software vendor. In the case of AVG, this has been boosted by adding cloud-based file reputation service in the mix.
