14 DAY TRIAL // After upgrading its entire desktop line to feature Intel's second generation Core processors, AVADirect has started doing the exact same thing with its laptop line, the company just detailing the 17.3-inch Clevo P170HM gaming notebook that is based on the Huron River platform.
The Clevo P170HM is AVADirect's most expensive and highest performing laptop, users having the option of configuring it with a wide range of Core i7 Extreme or regular Core i7 mobile Sandy Bridge processors.
These are accompanied by three discrete Nvidia GeForce solutions, ranging from the GTX 460M all the way to the powerful GTX 485M 2GB that features 384 CUDA cores, 56 texture address units, 32 ROPs and a 256-bit memory interface.
In addition, up to 16GB of DDR3 memory as well as two SATA drives (SSD or HDD or hybrid) in RAID 0/1 can be installed.
The rest of the specs include a built-in Blu-ray reader and Super Multi DVD burner, integrated 2.0MP webcam, a fingerprint reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivity, a 9-in-1 card reader, HDMI output, an eSATA port and an optional TV tuner.
No matter what hardware configuration you happen to choose, all the laptops feature a 17.3-inch Full HD LED backlit display with a glossy finishing.

Clevo's P170HM gaming notebook is available right now for purchase from Clevo's website, its price starting at $1618.11 US.
The base configuration includes a quad-core Intel Core i7 2630QM processor, clocked at 2GHz, 2GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 460M graphics card, and 500GB of storage space.
