A total of 29 protection suites designed for securing Android devices against all sorts of malware have been evaluated by AV-TEST for the month of July and the results are in, with multiple brands achieving the best score.

The organization, which conducts independent performance evaluation of security products, posted a picture on Twitter, announcing that no less than nine products managed to get a perfect score during their tests.

The mobile security solutions sharing the first spot in the top are from AhnLab, Avira, Bitdefender, Cheetah/KS, F-Secure, G Data, McAfee, Qihoo 360 and Symantec; these have been listed alphabetically, as they all achieved the maximum score of 100%.

Very close to getting maximum points, but taking second place were solutions from Antiy, ESET, and Trend Micro.

Products from Avast, AVG, Kaspersky and Quickheal occupy the third place in the top, each achieving the same score.

It seems that it was a tight race because the differences between the top three places are probably of about 0.01%, judging from the image provided by AV-TEST on Twitter.

However, even the products that did worse than all of the aforementioned recorded a score above 99.5%.

At the bottom end of the top, with scores that did not reach the 99% mark are Android security solutions from Sophos, Comodo, Tencent, Bornaria, Ikarus, and White Gate.
