It appears ATI will launch its upcoming and highly expected X1650 PRO on the 23rd of August, just a day before the gaming convention in Leipzig, Germany, informs The Inquirer.

"We strongly suspect that ATI plans to introduce its X1950 XTX cards at the event and both cards should be available at launch. It is unclear as yet if this card is the one we know under the codename Guinness, which is clocked at 500MHz core and 800MHz memory," comments The Inquirer.

But just two days ago, Hightech Information System Limited (HIS) has launched its latest graphics card - the X1600Pro IceQ 512MB - which is said to deliver a faster and cooler new 3D performance architecture technology, a larger memory size and also a next generation image quality signed ATI.

And who knows, maybe not only the names will resemble, but also the features, excepting the new cooling solution developed by HIS.

Let's see what HIS X1600Pro IceQ 512MB can do and maybe we will discover what we can expect from the mysterious ATI product. It enables the core to deliver advanced performance, as the new IceQ model is power-driven by ultra-threaded 3D core architecture with advanced 90nm micron process.

Moreover, as it is optimized for the latest Shader Model 3.0 and DirectX 9 technologies, the graphics card provides one of the most 'adrenalin-overpowered' gaming experiences. HIS X1600Pro IceQ 512MB also includes a new 256-bit Ring Bus memory controller, coming with 512MB DDR2, and an original cache design. HIS's new graphics card is also CrossFire Ready.

HIS X1600Pro IceQ 512MB has a 2x Dual link DVI which offers the capability to support ultra high resolution LCDs capable of 2560 x 1600, and the advanced High Dynamic Range rendering, both transforming the PC into a HD compliant unit, which can be used for editing photos or just watching the latest high-definition movies.

Moreover, as many other similar products recently released, the HIS X1600Pro IceQ 512MB benefits from the latest ATI Avivo technology and delivers an enhanced quality in video capture and play back via H.264/VC1 acceleration and universal connectivity.
