ATI Cuts Down R520 Prices

In a price-war between ATI and Nvidia, both companies are doing their best kicking in all directions, with only one happy ending for the user - prices being cut down.

Consumers can usually rejoice and get hardware for 50% of the price at the beginning of the year, except for the ones that bought the product at its launch. But an excellent deal was found.

The product in question is an X1800XT, featuring only 256MB of GDDR-3 memory, available at a price of £144.95 + VAT this week only, while a fully-fledged X1800XT comes with 512MB of ultra-fast memory - just what Oblivion needs for a good performance.

New price of the Sapphire X1800XT 512 MB ViVo Lite-Retail models is 269 euros, and it is available at Captain Hook's – the favorite German on-line store.

A second product “suffering” from a price-cut is the X1800GTO, also known as "the extremely overclockable X1800XL". The new price of the product is a mere 199 euros, and is targeted to go up against Nvidia's 7600GT.
