The carrier is rumored to come up with a Samsung Propel successor soon

AT&T might prepare the launch of a successor for its Samsung Propel mobile phone. Although the handset hasn't been launched too long ago, the recently spotted photos on the web point towards a possible follower of the device.

From what we've learned, the blue and white carrier could have a so-called Samsung Propel Pro up its sleeve, and, as any other successor that is tagged “pro,” the new handset is expected to hit the market with a bigger feature pack than the original Propel, its predecessor. Unfortunately, there are not too many pieces of information on the handset at this moment, but we'll provide you with what we've got.

The images with the soon-to-come Samsung Propel Pro have emerged to the web on the Boy Genius Report, which states that the handset might come as a 3G smartphone that is running under Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard operating system. The device sports an optical joystick, which is said no to be too much of a feature after all.

Other features of AT&T's unannounced Samsung Propel Pro would include 3G data transfer capabilities, a possible photo snapper (yet no details on it are available), as well as a sliding QWERTY keyboard, which should prove itself worthy enough. The new smartphone might appeal to the mobile phone operator's customers a lot if Wi-Fi capabilities were present as well, yet no details on this have emerged.

For what it’s worth, the Samsung Propel Pro surely looks like a nice addition to the carrier's lineup, one that would probably rise up to the name its predecessor has made for itself already. Hopefully, AT&T will give us a word on this new smartphone in the near future and we won’t have to wait too long before seeing the handset come to the operator's offering.
