AT&T announced that starting with April 2007, its business customers will have access to the MC35 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) through an arrangement with Motorola. The announcement was made by AT&T at the CTIA Wireless Show 2007
in Orlando, in conjunction with Motorola's launch of the MC35.

Available in a sleek and attractive PDA-like form factor, MC35 helps mobile employees stay connected to important business information using a variety of built-in communications platforms, including ATT's nationwide high-speed wireless data network, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device uses the connectivity options to combine a mobile phone, mobile computing device, camera and bar code scanner into a single multi-functional device. This gives field technicians, mobile sales forces, delivery personnel and even executives access to corporate email, messaging, Internet connection, Push To Talk, location-based services and other mission-critical business applications.

"Built-in GPS and Push To Talk are two must-have capabilities for companies with employees in the field," said Jeff Bradley, vice president, wireless business data services, for AT&T. "The packaging of these features in the compact, PDA-like MC35 EDA along with complementary business applications, such as mobile resource management, field service and sales force automation will provide our enterprise customers with an end-to-end solution to bring efficiency into their operations."

More than 35 enterprise applications can be ported to the MC35. Several applications are available directly through AT&T's wireless business-to-business sales organization, including Corrigo - a suite of three wireless field service solutions developed for AT&T by Corrigo; Push To Talk - available on AT&T's Push To Talk network, with features including "availability" icons, quick group calling and the ability to easily switch from a PTT session to a regular wireless voice call; TeleNav Track - a GPS-based mobile resource management solution, that gives access to location-tracking, wireless time sheets, wireless forms and turn-by-turn navigation; TeleNav GPS Navigator - providing turn-by-turn GPS-enabled voice and on-screen directions for use while driving or walking, information on more than 10 million points of interest, a business finder, lowest-price-fuel finder and other search tools.

The MC35 operates on AT&T's wireless data network, available in more than 13,000 cities and towns and along 40,000 miles of major highways across the U.S.
