A new messaging phone is set to become available for purchase on AT&T's airwaves this month, namely the Pantech Ease. According to the wireless carrier, the new mobile phone comes with a touchscreen display, while being able to offer increased simplicity through its specifically designed menus and features. The new device is set to become available for purchase on AT&T's website and at the carrier's stores nationwide come June 20.

The new Pantech Ease is said to come to the market as a solution that can offer a streamlined mobile experience to AT&T's users. The device sports both a touchscreen display and a full keypad, enabling users stay connected with friends and family in a simple manner. Additionally, the wireless carrier notes that the Ease is meant to prove its commitment towards delivering the latest technology to its customers, an initiative in which it includes the Pantech Breeze and Pantech Breeze II, launched in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

“Ease emphasizes our commitment to meeting the needs of all AT&T customers,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “The first quick messaging phone targeted for simplicity seekers, it fulfills our goal to create a highly functional device for everyone – from children to great-grandparents.”

The new mobile phone comes with a 3.2 touchscreen display, a full keyboard and intuitive menus, all packed inside a device that sports an uncluttered design and an affordable price tag. Moreover, the handset comes with Easy and Advanced modes, each offering different messaging experiences to users. The Easy mode can prove a great option for senior users, the carrier added.

“AT&T customers have come to rely on Pantech’s ability to create phones that meet their unique lifestyle needs,” said Jim Berridge, vice president of sales and marketing, Pantech Wireless. “Ease is a phone that incorporates the latest customer requests – a touch screen – yet does so in a manner which is easy to use. We have a winner with Ease and we’re confident that customers will be impressed with both the design and functionality of this handset.”

The Pantech Ease comes with support for AT&T’s High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) 7.2 Mbps technology. The handset is expected to become available for purchase on June 20 featuring a price tag of $69.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement (a minimum $20 messaging or combination of messaging and data plans required) and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
