Mobile phone users in the United States will soon have the opportunity to enjoy 3D content on the go without the use of glasses via a series of mobile phones that are about to become available for purchase in the country, and the Thrill 4G that just received the necessary approvals from the FCC is one of the handsets set to enable this.

The mobile phone comes from South Korean handset vendor LG and was already launched on shelves in various markets around the world as the LG Optimus 3D.

In the United States, it would be released on AT&T's network, just as the wireless carrier announced a while ago, and should be put for sale in the not too far future, now that it passed the required testing from the FCC.

This is not the only 3D-capable device to arrive on shelves in the United States, or the only one coming from LG. The company launched a 3D-enabled tablet PC on T-Mobile's airwaves, the G-Slate, and Sprint is redying the release of HTC EVO 3D later this month.

The LG Thrill 4G made an appearance at FCC with support for, obviously, AT&T's network. Just as its name suggests, the device would connect to the carrier's HSPA+ network, which means better connectivity capabilities and faster data transfer speeds.

The Android-based handset passed through FCC with model number LG P925 attached to it, the same number that AT&T shows on its developer site, Pocketnow reports.

The original LG Optimus 3D received the necessary FCC approvals as well, with model number LG P920H next to it. The two devices are almost identical, except for the model number.

The specs list of this mobile phone would include a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, along with a dual-core 1GHz application processor, complemented by dual channel RAM, for increased performance capabilities.

The mobile handset also comes with 8GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for up to 32GB of additional storage space (an 8GB card included).

On the back, it sports dual 5-megapixel cameras, for recording 3D content. The specs list of this device also includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, HDMI out, DLNA streaming, GPS receiver, and the like.
