Nokia Lumia 900, the first Windows Phone handset from Nokia to pack support for LTE networks, is expected to make its debut on AT&T’s network in the United States on March 18th.

The mobile phone will arrive on shelves with a price tag of $99.99 (76 Euro) with the signing of a two year contract agreement, a recent article on BGR claims.

This is not the first time we learn that the mobile phone might become available for purchase in March, but no specific info on its price tag has emerged until now.

At $99, Lumia 900 would sit pretty well when compared to other LTE smartphones in AT&T’s lineup, that’s for sure.

The handset could easily prove a best seller at this price point, which will help Windows Phone gain a lot of market share.

Since Nokia’s Lumia 900 smartphone packs appealing hardware specs too, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it flying off the shelves fast.

It arrives with a 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It is a Nokia ClearBlack display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The handset also includes a 1.4GHz Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon application processor inside, complemented by 512 MB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. No microSD slot to expand it was included into the mix.

On the back, the new mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss optics, auto-focus, dual-LED flash and support for HD video recording. There is also a 1.3MP camera on the front, great for video calling.

Connectivity-wise, Lumia 900’s specs list shows HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps; LTE; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; Bluetooth 2.1; microUSB v2.0, and the like. The smartphone is powered by a Li-Ion 1830 mAh (BP-6EW) battery that can deliver up to 300 hours of standby time or up to 7 hours of talk time.

Running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system, the new mobile phone also offers fast web browsing via Internet Explorer, as well as support for various services and applications, including Xbox Live, Nokia Drive, Nokia Music, and more.
