Mobile phone users in the United States interested in taking advantage of LTE connectivity and of the features and capabilities that Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform has to offer to them can head over to Amazon to purchase a Nokia Lumia 900 handset at a reduced price.

The mobile phone is currently available on Amazon’s website for only $9.99 (8 Euro) for AT&T customers who want to upgrade, and it goes for $39.99 (32 Euro) for new customers.

The smartphone was put up for sale only a few months ago, with a price tag of $99.99 (79 Euro) attached to it at AT&T, yet the carrier’s retail partner has had it for much less since the beginning.

At the moment, the black version of Lumia 900 can be acquired almost for free, which makes it a quite appealing device, considering the features and capabilities it has to offer.

Running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5 operating system, the handset was launched with a 1.4GHz application processor inside, and it will offer support for AT&T’s LTE and HSPA+ networks, so that users would benefit from fast data speeds around the US.

The smartphone also sports a large 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen display and features an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with Carl Zeiss optics, auto-focus, and a dual LED flash, while being capable of recording videos in HD resolution.

Moreover, Nokia packed the handset with a front camera for making video calls, as well as with 16 GB of internal memory, but without the possibility to expand it.

Nokia Lumia 900 arrives on the market with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, and a non-removable battery that can deliver up to 7 hours of talk time, or up to 300 hours of standby time.

The handset is capable of impressing through the software packed inside it as well, such as apps and features that the Windows Phone 7.5 OS comes with by default, and specific applications that Nokia has packed it with.
