Owners of an HTC One mini smartphone on the network of wireless carrier AT&T might see the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system landing on their smartphones before the end of this week, it seems.

The platform upgrade has been already approved and should start arriving on smartphones in the coming days, a recent tweet from Mohammed Versi unveils.

“Owners - We have received technical approval for Sense 5.5 + OS 4.4.2! OTA expected end of the week. Thanks,” he noted in the aforementioned tweet.

The new software release is expected to provide users with a nice range of enhancements, including many related to the Sense UI loaded on top of Android.

The new software release will also offer a series of graphical tweaks all around the platform, along with modified Music and Gallery applications, and other small modifications.

Moreover, owners of AT&T HTC One mini devices are expected to enjoy some performance improvements following the update, as well as various new features, such as cloud printing.

AT&T has yet to deliver specific details on when the roll out begins, though we should see the announcement in the next few days, so stay tuned to learn additional info on the matter.
