Samsung’s large Galaxy Note smartphone made an appearance on shelves at AT&T a few months ago, and it has been expected ever since to get a taste of the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, but it didn’t.

Following a series of leaked Android 4.0 builds for the device, the phone itself was spotted at large with the new version of Google’s mobile operating system on board.

AT&T has brought the device at CTIA in New Orleans, and the guys over at Android Central got the chance to have a better look at it, discovering that it was powered by Android 4.0.3.

The smartphone arrives with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of Google’s platform, the same as other similar devices from the handset vendor.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have an official time frame for the update, but it should not be too long before it makes an official appearance on devices, so stay tuned.
