This week, AT&T and Samsung are set to make official a new device destined for the carrier’s US network, none other than the long-rumored Galaxy Note.

The smartphone was already expected to make an official appearance at CES 2012 in Las Vegas, and the move has been confirmed.

A series of posters that have been found in the public area of the Las Vegas Convention Center confirm the handset’s launch.

However, the posters do not mention LTE connectivity, which was one of the special features the handset was expected to land with at AT&T. Galaxy Note was launched in South Korea about three weeks ago with LTE on board.

The rest of the specs should remain unchanged from the international model: a 5.3-inch touchscreen display, along with a 1.4GHz dual-core application processor and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back.
