The Android device does much better on the downlink

T-Mobile does not have the iPhone on its network, and claims that the handset is actually unable to support the fast speeds that its network has to offer, while Android phones are better fitted for its fast airwaves.

However, the latest iPhone 4S model came to the market with a series of enhancements when compared to the previous devices, meant to provide users with increased data speeds at least on AT&T's HSPA+ network.

In the video above, you can see how well the new Apple iPhone 4S fares when put side by side with T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S II.

Both handsets connect to an HSPA+ network, yet it seems that the Android device can deliver speeds that are over five times faster than what the iPhone 4S has to offer: 23.42Mbps vs 3.92Mbps on the downlink.

When it comes to uploads, however, the Apple device beats its competitor to the punch.
