Although Apple announced that its new iPad would be available via AT&T and Verizon Wireless on March 16, the information had to be confirmed by both carriers.

Today, Verizon and AT&T officially confirmed they would be able to sell the new iPad starting March 16. In fact, both network operators revealed they would offer all models of iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G.

In addition, Verizon’s new iPad will also support the Personal Hotspot feature, which allows users to share their 4G LTE network connection with up to five other devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB.

Apple’s third-generation iPad will be delivered with a hyper-vibrant Retina display, superior to that included with previous iPad models.

In addition, the slate is equipped with Apple's new A5X chip that features quad-core graphics, a dual-core processor, as well as a 5-megapixel iSight camera. The latter features advanced optics and is capable of recording full HD (1080p) video recording.

According to Apple, the new iPad embeds a high-capacity battery that is said to offer up to 10 hour battery life. Furthermore, iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G is a global device, which means that users will be able to connect to any fast networks worldwide when they travel.

Unfortunately, 4G LTE is useless in Europe as the device only supports 700MHz and 2100MHz bands, while European networks are built on 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz bands.

More details on the new iPad pricing options are available via AT&T and Verizon online stores.

The new iPad is coming to the nation's largest 4G network and we could not be more excited. Our customers will get a widespread, ultra-fast and consistent 4G experience from AT&T on day one, plus unlimited access to the nation's largest Wi-Fi network at no extra charge.

“We're offering very competitive data plans for iPad and are confident customers will agree that AT&T delivers the best experience,” said Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO, AT&T Mobility.
