Wireless carrier AT&T announced on Monday that it put in place a new promotion for its AT&T U-verse customers. According to the company, new U-verse customers can enjoy $200 promotion cards that can be used for the purchase of a free smartphone from the carrier, as well as other savings options. The carrier also notes that the new promotion has been put in place due to the fact that users tend to put smartphones at the top of their holiday shopping lists, and that the same applies to high definition TVs.

AT&T also announced that those new customers who chose to “bundle U-verse TV (U200 or higher), U-verse Internet (Pro or higher) with Wireless 450 (or higher) or U-verse Voice Unlimited” were eligible for receiving $200 back, a sum that could be used for the acquisition of a popular device from the carrier. At the same time, other savings are also available for those who will choose to make their purchase online from the company's website.

“We’re offering holiday shopping that puts a smartphone in your pocket or more in your wallet — it’s your choice,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “We know shoppers have tight budgets this year, and we’re hoping to make it simple for you to put presents under the tree by giving you significant savings — just for making the switch to U-verse TV. And why wouldn’t you want to give yourself the gift of AT&T U-verse? U-verse offers an advanced Total Home DVR, more HD channels than cable, many features and apps available at no extra charge, and a sweet bundle that delivers a great value, at the time when you need it.”

AT&T U-verse
can easily prove to be one of the best options for those looking to buy a new HDTV this holiday season, the company notes. U-verse TV HD customers can benefit from a great offering, including access to more than 110 HD channels, easy management of recordings from a single DVR, as well as U-verse Total Home DVR, through which they can watch the recordings on any U-verse connected TV in the house.

Moreover, U-verse users will also benefit from a series of applications that are meant to enhance the TV-watching experience, such as Multiview, or Santa Tracker. At the same time, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet packages come with wireless home at no extra cost, and provide access to AT&T's Wi-Fi network as well.

You'll need the Credit. U-verse cost me $500 a month for the first two months, delivered substandard service and eventually I killed every service offered by AT&T when they could not supply even a fraction of what they promised. All this and at least 16 hours in under 1 month with "Customer Service"

Buyer beware. This was one really BAD offer, I wish i never heard of it.

$500 a month? What the hell were you doing? Geeze. Doesn't cost me more than $130/mo. and I have the 200 package, unlimited (landline) voice/phone and pro internet speed. ATT has been great service. Better than Time Warner WAY better. Customer service has been fantastic for me.
