The HTC Tilt phone will finally arrive at AT&T. After a long wait and many steps made for the device to hit the US market, the first device running on Windows Mobile 6 from AT&T will soon hit stores.

The smartphone is packed with performances that few other devices on this market have to offer. At some points, the Tilt even manages to surpass the iPhone, although it lacks many of the features that drove the popularity of Apple's phone.

One thing that many people might find better and highly more useful than anything else is the full QWERTY keypad that will offer a more traditional alternative to virtual keypads on touchscreens. This will enable the user to enter long text messages, create emails, browse the Internet, use applications or just play videos and games.

One major advantage that the Tilt smartphone brings is the fact that it provides 3G transfers, with HSDPA transfers of up to 3.6 Mbps. Moreover, the phone also comes equipped with a 3 megapixel camera, better than that of Apple's phone. The final touch that is supposed to place the Tilt above any other similar handsets shows GPS technology, through the latest version of TeleNav GPS Navigator.

The AT&T Tilt also provides access to AT&T's BroadbandConnect network in more than 170 major metropolitan areas across the U.S, as well as coverage outside of 3G service areas is available via AT&T's EDGE network. Users also can use the AT&T Tilt to link to corporate wireless local area networks or home Wi-Fi networks, as to make the package complete. The phone supports 4GB MicroSD flash memory cards and is capable of handling up to 32GB MicroSD cards to expand storage for pictures, video, music and more. Top that, iPhone.

AT&T Tilt will be available for a promotional price of USD 300, starting the 5th of October, at AT&T retail stores nationwide, as well as at the operator's online store.
