AT&T Rolls Out Maintenance Update for HTC One X, Improves Wi-Fi Connectivity
The update is now pushed OTA (over the air), in waves
HTC One X has just hit shelves at AT&T after a week spent at US Customs. Reportedly one of the best Android smartphones available in the market, the One X is now getting a maintenance update, which aims to fix some of its bugs.According to AndroidCentral, software update to version 1.85.502.3 is pushed OTA (over the air), so make sure you click Download as soon as the update notification pops-up on the screen, otherwise you’ll have to wait several hours until it becomes available again.
The update is about 65MB in size and AT&T customers who own an HTC One X can manually check for it by going to Settings / About phone / Software update.
It appears that the update is mostly about Wi-Fi, so expect the following changes:
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Improvement - improves operation when a device leaves Wi-Fi coverage;
- Wi-Fi Throughput (Speed Increase);
- AT&T Address Book fixes - contacts formatting when synced to AAB.
