The long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for Sony Xperia TL has just been made official via AT&T. The carrier announced that the update would be pushed OTA (over the air) starting March 12.

The Xperia TL made its debut at AT&T a few months ago, but the phone was shipped with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box.

However, Sony promised customers that the phone would receive a Jelly Bean upgrade this year, and today it delivered as expected.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Sony Xperia TL brings a new data usage calculator that helps users keep track of their data consumption.

In addition, the update brings a new enhanced camera interface with Superior Auto mode, as well as an improved power management feature that will help better manage battery life. More details on the update are available at AT&T’s blog site.
