Wireless carrier AT&T appears to have removed the 32GB flavor of the Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone from its website, where users will find only the 16GB variant listed as available for purchase.

The move comes only a few weeks after a new color version of the large Windows Phone smartphone was released on the wireless operator’s network, all dressed up in Green.

Those of you who will head over to the company’s online portal today and will search for the mobile phone there will be provided only with the option to grab the lower-storage variant.

Moreover, as nokiapoweruser notes, the old link for the 32GB device variant won’t work, delivering instead the message that the device is no longer available in your area.

Undoubtedly, the 32GB Lumia 1520 can still be found in the carrier’s brick-and-mortar stores, yet there’s no telling for how long it will still be available for purchase.

AT&T hasn’t provided specific info on what has determined it to remove the mobile phone flavor from its online store, though rumor has it that it might be gearing up for the release of a new large Windows Phone handset.

In fact, Microsoft has been already rumored to plan the release of a Lumia 1520 sequel in the form of Lumia 1525, even though no official confirmation on the matter has been provided.

The phone has been said to be aimed at three wireless carriers in the United States, namely T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon, and chances are that we are actually getting closer to the official unveiling of this smartphone.

The handset has been rumored to arrive on shelves with a newer, Snapdragon 801 processor inside, yet no other details on its hardware specs have been provided as of now.

However, should the previous reports on this device pan out, we might see it released with a 6-inch touchscreen display and with a 20MP camera, as was the case with the Lumia 1520.

The Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 operating system version might also be loaded on this device right from the beginning, considering that it has already landed on devices in the form of a Developer Preview version.

For the time being, however, the possible launch of Lumia 1525 is only a supposition and should be taken with a grain of salt, at least until some solid proof on the matter is provided, so keep an eye on this space for additional details.
