Mobile phone carrier AT&T has started to deliver a new software update for the owners of LG Optimus G Pro smartphones on its network, namely the Value Pack upgrade that the South Korean handset vendor had announced a few months ago.

The new software release comes with some highly appealing features for the smartphone’s owners, including the option to shoot with both the back and front cameras at the same time.

Furthermore, the handset will be able to recognize the position of users’ eyes following the update, which enables it to perform various actions, including pausing a video when the user isn’t looking at the screen.

As TalkAndroid notes, the release notes for the update include:

- Smart Video intelligently recognizes the position of a user’s eyes, automatically pausing the video when the user looks away and then restarting it once they resume active viewing.

- Dual Camera, an extension of the Dual Recording feature, lets users simultaneously capture photos of the subject and the shooter using both the front and back cameras for a picture-in-picture composition, so both sides of an experience are snapped and saved.

- Pause & Resume Recording allows user to pause video in record mode and then restart the recording to create one continuous video file.

Additionally, there is a Magic Remote Pad feature included in the new software release designed to work with LG Smart TVs that have been launched in 2012 and after, which should result in smoother, more intuitive navigation.

At the same time, a new Text Keypad feature will turn the LG Optimus G Pro into a convenient input device for LG Smart TVs.

Other improvements packed inside the update involve the ability to customize alerts of the HomeButton LED, so that the LED color is different for notifications from favorite contacts. On top of that, the upgrade brings along a selection of 800 color emoticons for texting and emailing.
